Hi Conscious Writers!

I’ve written before about endings and beginnings being an integral part of living a conscious and creative life.

The creative process itself is all about riding the wave of the alpha and omega cycle.

As well as being the nature of creation, this is also wonderful training for learning to trust the unseen forces at work in the universe even when you can’t see the what, the why or the how!

I’m sharing this with you because I’ve recently discovered that the venue we’ve used for our annual retreats over the last four years may not continue as a retreat centre beyond 2017 – an unexpected ending!

Last Time

So this is likely to be the last time that we offer the Conscious Writing Retreat for Women in its current form at Abbey House in the sacred landscape of Glastonbury.

Given that I’m entering a whole new phase of my work generally, I’m remaining open to new possibilities for retreats to take new forms and be held in new spaces for 2018 and beyond.

If you have any thoughts about the kind of retreat you’d love to experience and/or know of any amazing retreat centres that might welcome our conscious and creative approach, do please drop me a line at Julia@JuliaMcCutchen.com

This Year’s Retreat

For now, I’m gearing up for this year’s retreat and truly looking forward to what I’m sure will be the best event so far; especially in the light of this unforseen development.

So if you’d like to experience this deep and transformative retreat for women who are drawn to write consciously, creatively and authentically, and enjoy the sacred energy of this special venue, read more here.

FREE Video Chat

Before then you might also like to watch the next FREE Video Chat that I’m having with my friend and colleague Jackee Holder on The Transformative Power of Journaling.

We’re both life-long journal writers with our own distinct approach and have so much to share with you on a range of different journaling techniques you may not have come across before to boost your confidence, your creativity and more! Read more here.

I hope you’ll tune in to this as well as our next IACCW Member Event with bestselling author Carmine Gallo who’s speaking on 5 Storytelling Techniques to Craft Your Signature Talk. So much to look forward to 🙂

Have a wonderfully conscious & creative month!

Hi Conscious Writers!

Over the last few weeks I’ve poured a great deal of energy into the everyday admin that keeps all of my creative projects running smoothly.

Much as I love being immersed in the creative process, paying attention to the mundane matters that provide the foundation on which to build new possibilities is so important and definitely has its own reward.

In fact I’ve found that being organized at every level actually frees up the space and energy for a more dynamic creative flow to occur through a beautiful balance of the feminine and masculine energies.

Walking the Path

And it’s a real joy for me to share such discoveries with others!

In reality everything I teach comes from walking the path myself and passing on the benefit of my insights and experience from so many years of personal and professional practice.

This principle also applies to my latest creative offering which comes in the form of a brand new four week online course that I’ll be teaching live by video.

Unlock Your Creativity with Conscious Writing

As I wrote in a recent blog post, like so many of the people I work with, my growing up years lacked any kind of encouragement to develop my natural creativity.

In fact the opposite was true; I was taught that creativity was an optional extra to be reserved for hobbies and weekends.

It took a life-changing accident for me to re-organize my priorities and consciously re-build my life to live in alignment with the creative soul I truly am.

So I know the journey of unlocking your creativity only too well!

Call Forth the Real Creative You

This course is for you if you’re as ready as you’ll ever be to call forth the real creative you and claim your right to create and write what you’re here to create and write. Read more here.

I hope this will inspire you to take action on your creative impulse to write and live in alignment with your soul.

Have a wonderfully conscious & creative month!

Hi Conscious Writers!

This month’s newsletter is slightly later than usual because of unexpected technical challenges that were waiting for me following my lovely holiday in Costa Rica!

I’m getting everything back on track now and ironically feeling stronger as result of handling the crisis with a fair degree of equanimity and calm (most of the time!)

Spring is such a delightful season as nature wakes up from the long winter sleep and new life emerges everywhere. I can’t help but feel inspired by that so there are quite a few new creative projects on the horizon to share with you.

Individual Mentoring: Last Call, Last Place!

I’m delighted by the response to the new series of Individual Mentoring that’s starting this month and all the places have been booked up… apart from one! Read all about it here.

If you think you might benefit from working with me individually to start, develop or complete one of your creative, writing or business projects, dive right in to book a FREE 20 minute Discovery Session so we can discuss it. Just email Julia@JuliaMcCutchen.com to schedule a date and time.

Conscious Writing Retreat… For Women

Most of the people I work with individually are women and last year (without any planning) all of the participants were women.

It was an amazing experience for us all and I’ve been reflecting on the possibility of making this year’s retreat for women only. Now the decision has been made and it’s become the Conscious Writing Retreat for Women!

We still have a few Early Bird tickets left so if this shift appeals to you as a conscious and creative woman, read more and book your ticket here.

Highlights

The first highlight this month is a FREE Video Chat with my good friend and bestselling author Nick Williams on a new topic that I hope you’ll enjoy, Cultivating Creative Self-Leadership. Read more and register here.

Plus, I’m really looking forward to teaching a brand new four week online course taught LIVE by Video called Unlocking Your Creativity with Conscious Writing. Read more and register for advance information here.

Finally

After seven years of monthly IACCW interviews without missing a single one (!), I’ve decided it’s time to take a pause on booking new speakers and reflect on new possibilities for the future.

So you’re going to have to chance to listen to some of the highlights from our magnificent library starting with a topic that so many people are interested in these days – memoir writing.

Enjoy listening to it and have a wonderfully conscious & creative month!

Hi Conscious Writers!

What a delightful time we all had in the New Year: New Creative You! FREE live video class recently which one participant described as ‘yoga for the creative soul’ – lovely!

If you missed it and would like to experience this powerful new teaching medium, the next one will be at the end of March.

I’m also planning a brand new 4 week online course starting in April; all dates and details will be released early next month.

In the meantime, here’s the heads up on two consciously created Highlight offerings for you to review right now:

1. Early Bird tickets for the CONSCIOUS WRITING RETREAT(23-26 June) are now available!

This retreat truly is a highlight of the year for me, and from the feedback I receive, for those who attend as well.

I’ve honestly not come across anything quite like this transformative creative experience anywhere else so do please check it out to see if it resonates with you – read more here.

2. New Six Month MENTORING Series starts in March.

This is your invitation to explore the possibility of working with me individually.

Mentoring seems to be in my DNA! Looking back it’s clear that I’ve been a natural mentor almost all my adult life.

So if you feel like you might benefit from my intuitive insight and the clarity that seems to pour through me, read more here.

Loving the Blog!

I’m also inspired to share with you just how much I’m loving writing the Conscious Writing for Creative Living blog!

I’ve chosen one of the posts to include as this month’s feature article.

It tells the story of one of the key questions that came to me for all Conscious Writers to reflect on as it’s like a Zen Koan for the creative soul!

Comments Request

I hope you enjoy reading it and the other posts I’ve done recently. If so, I’d really appreciate it if you’d take just a few moments to leave a comment on the blog itself.

It’s wonderful to receive positive feedback from people by email but comments at the end of each post remain available for others to benefit from so are much better over the long term.

Signing Off till March

With that said, I’m signing off now for a major creative business review followed by some sunny time out in Costa Rica so I’ll look forward to catching up with you when I surface in early March.

Just so you know, while I’m away my PA is booking FREE Discovery Sessions to discuss the new Mentoring series so simply email Julia@JuliaMcCutchen.com and she’ll take care of you.

Have a wonderfully conscious & creative month!

January 11, 2017

JM_headshot(1)_Nov2016_500Hi Conscious Writers, Happy New Year!

I know that January is not considered to be the start of the New Year for everyone.

However, as I wrote in this month’s feature article, I love the energy of new beginnings and consciously choose to take every opportunity to immerse myself in the inspiring energy of the alpha source out of which everything arises.

So it becomes my reality; and I ride the wave of new possibilities and fresh perspectives.

New Year: New Creative You! FREE Live Video Class

With the launch of my new blog and website last month, there’s a lot of new energy around at the moment and I’ve harnessed some of it to create the first in a series of bi-monthly FREE Live Video Classes.

I’ve only recently started using this format of live teaching by video for the Conscious Writing Live Online Course which took place a few months ago (and will be repeated this September).

And I was delightfully surprised by just how much I loved teaching this way and how well it worked for all the participants!

The forthcoming New Year: New Creative You! class will call forth the real creative you and guide you to craft an achievable vision and set clear intentions for authentic creative expression in all areas of your life. Read more here.

Looking Ahead

However brilliantly the online format works, especially as a way to dissolve geographical boundaries and open up the teaching for wherever you are in the world, there’s nothing quite like a live, in-person experience.

One of the year’s highlights is the four day Conscious Writing Retreat which is taking place in the sacred landscape of Glastonbury from FRIDAY 23 – MONDAY 26 JUNE 2017.

The Early Bird booking will be opening soon and as places are limited you can register for advance notification by clicking here.

Finally, whatever feelings you have about this particular New Year, my wish for you is that 2017 becomes your most conscious, joyful and abundantly creative year yet!

Julia McCutchenHi Conscious Writers!

Endings and beginnings; my life is full of them! As one process, phase or project draws to a close, the next one opens and new life is breathed into different forms.

Often these overlap in a multi-layered spiral of conscious in-breaths and creative out-breaths that give shape to the essence I devote my life to.

With the first Conscious Writing LIVE Online Course successfully completed 10 days ago as ‘mission accomplished’ for us all, the first Conscious Writing Coaching Group is already formed and ready to begin next week.

Alpha and Omega Transitions

Many of these alpha and omega transitions are hugely significant and early next month I’m looking forward to sharing the details of one of the most momentous shifts in a very long time.

Naturally it includes exciting new developments and offerings that will be directly relevant to you as a conscious and creative writer, so watch this space and all will soon be revealed!

Conscious Writing in French

In the meantime, the fruits of existing projects continue to flourish and I’m delighted to say that I’ve recently received copies of the French edition of my book Conscious Writing.

It is thoroughly delightful to witness this body of work rippling out to the world and seeing my words in another language is amazing!

I’ve posted a few photos to my Facebook page if you’d like to see it and I can’t wait for the Chinese edition to arrive; yes, the rights have been sold to other languages too including Chinese!

Conscious Journaling

One of the core practices I use to remain present, aligned and crystal clear about what’s truly important in the midst of all the change and transformation is journal writing.

It has served me so well over the years, including the last few months, that I’ve been inspired to remind you of the immense value that Conscious Journaling has for your writing and your life. Read the article here.

Finally, we have an inspiring event coming up this Thursday 10 November when I’ll be interviewing internationally renowned transformative coach and best-selling author Michael Neill.

We’re honoured to have him speak for the IACCW audience so if you’ve been wondering whether to become a FREE or FULL Member, now is the perfect moment to so so and receive access to the live call and audio recording.

Wherever you are in the world, I wish you a wonderfully conscious & creative month!

What’s new this month?

October 11, 2016

Julia McCutchenHi Conscious Writers!

Earlier in the year I spent the day with a stylist in preparation for a photo shoot (more on that to come soon!) and discovered that I’m ‘autumn’ when it comes to colours.

I’ve always loved the rich hues of red and gold displayed so majestically in nature during autumn and at the moment we’re gathering baskets full of blackberries and apples from the garden which are truly delicious.

Autumn Fruits

The autumn fruits of my creative flowering this year have taken the form of the first Conscious Writing LIVE Online Course which is now in full flow with participants from six different countries.

I’m absolutely loving the process of creating and teaching it live by video, and the feedback so far is really positive so I anticipate I’ll be offering more of these online courses in the future.

In the meantime, our exploration of Diving In to Your Creative Flow in Week 2 included me sharing the story of my own creative recovery which I wrote about in my book (see p 200).

This has inspired me to share the piece with you too in the hope that it inspires you to reflect on how much time and space you devote to honouring your creative impulse. Read more here.

From Virtual to ‘Real’

However wonderful it is to connect with people from all around the world in virtual space, there’s still nothing quite like the profound impact of meeting in person.

This month, I’m doing two events where I’ll be teaching Conscious Writing live and in person:

  • SAT 15 OCT – an introductory talk and book signing at the Tree of Life Festival. Read more here.
  • SAT 29 OCT – a one day workshop organized by Tree of Life Inspiring Events. Read more here.

I don’t do many live events like this so do come along if you can. It’s always a massive highlight for me to meet people who read my newsletters so it would be wonderful if you’d also come up and say ‘hi’!

Whatever your current priorities this month, I heartily encourage you to make time and space for your creativity and your writing.

Till next month…

September 7, 2016

Julia McCutchenHi Conscious & Creative Writers!

Here in the UK, I often experience what feels like a dramatic shift between the months of August and September with a few mixed feelings.

As the temperature drops and the nights draw in, there’s a requirement to let go of summer and embrace the onset of autumn.

The natural world always beautifully echoes the conscious and creative journey. We endlessly move on from all that has been and prepare ourselves for the next phase of our inspiration to take new forms of authentic expression.

Conscious Writing LIVE Online Course

The next new form of my authentic expression has taken shape as a 6 week course to discover and express your true voice.

For the first time, you can experience Conscious Writing taught LIVE in an experiential and interactive teleclass format so you can participate from wherever you are in the world without the need to travel!

If you have a creative writing project for your blog, book or business that you’d like to start, develop or complete, this practical course will provide the structure, support and positive accountability you need. Read more here.

1st Anniversary

Amazingly, September is also the one year anniversary of the publication of my book Conscious Writing!

To celebrate, we’re offering 25% off the list price for a signed copy of the book together with the Conscious Writing -The Process audio CD as a discounted and personalized package.

This will be available for a limited time only. So if you haven’t yet experienced what Conscious Writing has to offer you or if you know someone who dreams of writing but is struggling to make that a reality, now is a perfect moment to dive in. Read more and purchase using the links in the box at the top of this page.

Finally

Here’s a ‘heads up’ on a few other current offerings that may be of interest:

  • There’s just one place remaining for the Individually Guided Retreatsread more here.
  • If you’d like to experience Conscious Writing with me in person, I’m doing two live events during October – read more here.
  • This month’s article is inspired by a number of invitations I’ve had recently to speak about the healing power of Conscious Writing. I hope you enjoy it (click here) and would love to know your reaction so do please leave a comment at the end!

August 4, 2016

Julia McCutchenHi Conscious & Creative Writers!

With summer well and truly underway here in the UK, we’ve had our usual mix of warm sunshine and wet days.

This reminds me of the ups and downs of the creative process and the reality of authorship. As conscious writers, we all need to develop resilience in order to stay the course to completion and beyond!

We also need to carve out proper time and space to dive in to developing our ideas and doing our writing over and above the short regular stints we usually do, and the summer is a wonderful time to do just that.

Without this kind of creative immersion, our projects often take far longer than we’d ideally like and sometimes run out of steam altogether, ending up gathering dust at the back of the cupboard.

Individually Guided Conscious Writing Retreats

This month I’m offering you the opportunity to immerse yourself in your creative ideas and writing on a one, two or three day retreat working with me in person and on a one-to-one basis.

Wherever you are on your creative journey and no matter how little or how much experience you have, the retreat is tailored to suit your exact needs.

Perhaps you’re not yet clear about what ideas to focus on and haven’t written a word? Or maybe you’re already a blogger, author or coach ready to explore your next creative and business steps?

These individually guided retreats will take place on dates to be agreed between us during the months of August, September, October and November. Read more here.

Conscious Writing Online Course

If you’re not able to travel to attend an in-person retreat, you might be interested in the new online course that I’m in the process of creating.

It’s going to be a wonderful new way for you to experience conscious writing and I’m looking forward to sharing more information about it with you soon.

In the meantime, if you’d like to sign up to receive advance notification about it, simply send me an email here or use info@iaccw.com

Finally, I’m delighted to share the details of a Super Natural Healing Summit which starts on Monday 15 August. The focus is How to Create Emotional, Physical and Spiritual Health and Lead Your Thriving Joyful Life and you can listen to my interview on the healing aspects of conscious writing for free on Friday 26 August. Read more here.

Till next month…

What’s new this month?

July 6, 2016

Julia McCutchenHi Conscious & Creative Writers!

What an amazing experience we all had at the sold out Conscious Writing Retreat a few weeks ago!

Powerful from the start, the transformative energy rippled through each and every one of us. Immersion in the tools and techniques of conscious writing and creative living led to comments such as this:

‘A pristine space to give birth to new creations; an inspiring space to envision; a safe space to reflect; a loving space to connect.’
Kelley Osborne, writer, teacher and healer.

If you’d like to see some retreat photos, check out this blog post here.

Centre Stage

Following a short break to recharge after the retreat, the creative impulse continues to flow through me and has led to a strong inclination for a new creation to take centre stage now.

Originally I intended to offer the Mentoring Scholarship again this year. However, it seems like the ‘universe’ has other plans for me as my intuition is definitely nudging me towards creating a Conscious Writing Online Class.

Given the international nature of the IACCW membership and geographical restrictions that are a fact of life for many people, I’m inspired to share this holistic approach to discovering and expressing your true voice through a series of online classes.

Watch this space for more information coming soon and register for advance information here. You might also like to check out this month’s FREE and FULL Member Event on the same topic here.

Transitions and Transformation

In the meantime, you may remember that last month I shared a recent ‘aha’ moment of realization that all the people I work with are either on the brink or in the middle of some kind of transition. These relate to their process of self-discovery, creative unfolding, writing aspirations, and more.

As usual, I’ve dived straight in to explore that topic and written an article for the current issue of Aspire magazine called Conscious & Creative Self-Care for Women in Transition. It’s already triggered a positive response which is very rewarding – for more on that, see here.

If you enjoy reading it, do please post a comment at the end. It makes all the difference in the world to know your reaction to my creative offerings, and thank you in advance for your understanding and action!

Till next month…
